BPBible Portable – Free portable Bible software

In a previous article I introduced to you ‘The Net Bible’. Today I want to share with you about, ‘BPBible’. This is different from all the other software I introduced earlier, because it is portable. Meaning you can install it into your Flash drive; IPod; Mobile phone storage etc and run from any Windows based PC.

The NET Bible: Another software Bible

Today I would like to introduce a Bible software called ‘The NET Bible’. Though I cannot compare this with E-Sword, Quick verse, Pradis or Illumina, I thought it is a good tool for my software collection. However unlike other software, it uses its own translation. It gives more freedom for the end users including publishers (Click the screen shot for enlarged view).

“The translators’ notes make the original languages far more accessible, allowing you to look over the translator’s shoulder at the very process of translation. This level of documentation is a first for a Bible translation, making transparent the textual basis and the rationale for key renderings (including major interpretive options and alternative translations). This unparalleled level of detail helps connect people to the Bible in the original languages in a way never before possible without years of study of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. It unlocks the riches of the Bible’s truth from entirely new perspectives.”—–Bible.org (Developer)

E-Sword: The free Bible software

E-Sword

Today on Virtual Preacher I am going to introduce a software called eSword. I have been using this software for quite a long time, and this free software has proved that it deserves more publicity. So let me give you a brief description about the software.

The software comes in two different editions.

1. PC version: The software you can install on any Windows based Desktop computer or a Laptop

2. Pocket PC version: Supports many mobile devices including Windows Mobile
