Introduction

Multitudes today are suffering from a disease or infirmity with no relief. They have frequented doctors, clinics and hospitals with little or no help – and are discouraged, angry and bitter!

There are Christians who have been praying for years but not healed. You feel like throwing up your hands in despair since nothing helps, and accept weakness, pain, sickness and distress as your lot in life!  But let me show that there is hope in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Scripture verses: 1 Corinthians 11:17-30, Luke 13:10-12, James 5:16, Mark 5:5-7, Isaiah 53:4-5

1. Possible causes

Sin – This is not the only reason but this is one of the causes (1 Corinthians 11:17-30).  God never makes people sick, but when we sin we give a foot hold to the devil.

Generational curses – John 10:10 "Thief comes only to steal, murder and destroy". Some times Satan can use generational curses. (Sicknesses that pass from one generation to another).

2. Why some people are not healed?

Secret sin – James 5:16 It is clear that secret sin keeps people from getting healed. It hinders the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. Grudge and bitterness has the same effect.

For the glory of God – This is surprising but true according to John 9:1-11

3. Jesus has the answer

The book of Isaiah 53:4-5 says this.

Sure He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, any by His wounds we are healed.

Jesus died for our sins, paying a price that He did not deserve and a debt that we can never pay. Jesus was whipped 40 times which was the price to bring healing to man kind from 40 major ailments.

4. What must I do to be healed?

Believe that Jesus can heal you. Confess your sin, if you need to forgive some one do it, if you can see any generational curses in your family line that traces back to your sickness use the authority in the name of Jesus and command that the curse will be broken and loose its power.
