Introduction

‘The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they (you) might have life, and that they (you) might have [it] more abundantly.’ John 10:10 (KJV)

The thief mentioned here refers to all the forces of darkness. They have only one purpose. To harm the human kind, the bearers of God’s image. How do they accomplish this goal?

1. By stealing

The definition of “stealing” is to invade, seize and carry away another’s property.

A. Your finances

My neighbor is a witch doctor. He owns a 2 story house and drives a luxury car. He has many rich people coming to him, seeking help and deliverance from demonic activities in life. They pay him in millions to achieve freedom from demons who oppress their homes, lives and families.

B. Your joy, (Matthew 17:14-18)

This boy was sick with epilepsy due to demonic influence. He had no  joy, hope or a future until he met Jesus one day.

C. To murder and to destroy, Mark 5:1-20

The Definition of murder is to end some one else’s life for malicious intent. But when Jesus commanded the demons to come out of the man they pleaded for permission to possess the swine. The Swine when possessed by the evil spirits committed suicide.

2. Jesus comes to give life and give it abundantly

A. Demons tremble before Jesus, Mark 3:11

B. Jesus sets us free, Mark 5:15

C. Jesus restores our joy, Matthew 17:18

D. He didn’t come to take away what we already have. But to give us what we lack and to give abundantly.

D. Abundantly: Not just temporary pleasure or satisfaction. Not an empty promise. But everlasting peace, hope and joy.

3. How do I claim this promise for my self?

A. The answer is in Revelation 3:20.

B. ‘Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.’ (KJV)

C. Open the doors of your heart and let Jesus to take control of your life.

D. Jesus can’t set you free from demonic oppression and bondage as long as you don’t submit your life to his love and authority.

E. Simply invite Jesus to take control of your life. Only then Jesus will restore your life with joy and peace. No demon can have control over you, if Jesus is in your life. F. If you believe, repeat this prayer after me.

Dear Jesus, I believe that you have the power to set me free from all the demonic oppression. You are welcome here in my heart and life. Please set me and my family free from all evil. Right now, please forgive me for my sin. Wash me with your love. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen!
