Computer games: Mask of the occult

“There is hardly a game in which the players do not indulge in murder, arson, torture, rape, sorcery and witchcraft or highway robbery.” (Source: unknown)

Most of the modern games we see today are essentially feeding programs, for occult, witchcraft and violence. I felt compelled to write this article to create a state of awareness in the Church after realizing the degree of risk paused by these programmes. ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ probably the first game of this category appeared in the gaming world in the 80th decade. The game was full of activities like casting spells, summoning up demons, observing satanic rituals and throwing curses. A former Satanist and black magician (now a born again Christian) said the following about D&D.

Helping females addicted to Pornography

Dirty Girls Ministries - Helping females addicted to porngography(Web site Screenshot – Click to enlarge)

In today’s article I want to introduce to you a new ministry dedicated to help girls and women addicted to pornography (Web site:http://www.thenewpornaddicts.com).

Dirty Girls is a Christian anti-pornography ministry created to help women who struggle with pornography addiction. Dirty Girls was founded by author and speaker Crystal Renaud in February of 2009, following a data-collecting web campaign for her book concept*. Within just a matter of weeks, Crystal received over 300 surveys from women across the nation–proving not only can women be porn addicts, but that the number of women who are so, is staggering…

And they are desperately in need of help.
Crystal quickly realized this was bigger than a book. This was the beginning of a ministry to women across the nation and around the world. The church has been slow to minister to men; women have been completely ignored.
The mission of Dirty Girls is to:
* Bring awareness to the porn problem among women today
* Show struggling women they are not alone
* Demonstrate hope for recovery from this addiction
* Explain that the Bible and Jesus have the answer
About Crystal Renaud

* Crystal Renaud’s forthcoming book Dirty Girls: The New Porn Addicts discusses the widespread yet silent battle for women addicted to pornography. Crystal uses surveys, interviews with people affected by pornography, her personal story of redemption along with Biblical and practical tools for recovery, to show women they are not alone. Freedom from a pornography addiction is possible.
Crystal hopes to complete her book and self-publish by early 2010.
If you are an agent or publisher interested in representing Crystal Renaud and her book, please use our contact page to let us know.

What the Bible says about getting drunk?

Nevertheless my Father was a heavy drinker, but he did not forget to have a drink from the quarter bottle full of ‘Lemon Gin’ which he had kept in a corner of our dining room, after coming home from a busy day(this was before he got saved). It’s not once or twice I was tempted to give it a try because of it’s bubbles and the pale yellowish color, which chilled my mind.

The hand of the diligent makes rich. (Proverbs 10:4)

If you want to succeed on the job here’s a character quality you need to develop: diligence. When asked, “What’s your biggest challenge?” employers usually say,

“Finding and keeping good people.” It makes or breaks any business.

“A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich” (Proverbs 10:4).

Diligence calls for being self-disciplined, motivated, alert, dependable, and entails following through. The Bible says, “Diligence is… precious” (Proverbs 12:27) because it’s so hard to find.

The wicked… earns deceptive wages. – Proverbs 11:18

If you want to succeed in life practice honesty! One poll cited by newsman Paul Harvey stated that 40% of American workers admitted stealing on the job, and 20% felt justified! Their rationalizing includes:

“Everybody’s doing it, why shouldn’t I?”

“The boss can afford it, he won’t miss it.”

“It’s only small stuff, it won’t make any difference.”

“The company owes me, I’m just taking what’s mine.” “I deserve it, I’ve worked hard and never been acknowledged.”

What does God’s Word say about this?
