According to the content of this blog, I have to quote Bible references in almost every blog post that I write. In the beginning, this wasn’t a big deal, but as time passed I wanted to automate the process. You know, typing entire Bible passages manually isn’t easy. Copying and pasting is a good alternative but then it occupies too much of space.
This is why I like Reftagger by Logos Bible Software. It’s a free new web tool that instantly makes all the Bible references on any site come alive!
Supported Platforms
WordPress, bbPress, Blogger, Drupal, Joomla, MediaWiki, TypePad, phpBB, vBulletin
Supported Translations
NIV, NASB, KJV, NKJV, ESV, ASV, NLT, YLT, DARBY, NIRV, TNIV, GW, MESSAGE
Once you install the module or plugin corresponding to your platform (copy and past the code if your site is a custom built) all the Bible references in every page get hyperlinked to the relevant passage in the BibleGateway website (the latest version links to Biblia). Reftagger brings the text right to your readers by generating a tooltip window that pops up instantly when they hover over the reference.
Pros
Easy installation.
Cons
Can’t display more than one or two verses at a time. You have to follow the read more link in order to read the full verse in the Biblia.com website. This is very inconvenient.
